Detailed Fish Feed Pellet Mill Production Process
In the production process, second grinding and second batching process are generally used to mix, and then through extrusion → drying → external spraying → cooling → crumbling → screening to complete the processing of aquatic extruded feed production.
- Cleaning & primary coarse grinding
After the material passes through the feeding pit, the hoist enters the cleaning equipment to remove impurities after magnetic separation treatment, and then enters the bin to be crushed. After the coarse crushing, it goes through the hoist and the distributor enters the feeding bin to participate in the first batch of ingredients. Primary coarse grinding is the pretreatment process of superfine grinding in aquafeed production process. Its main purpose is to reduce the size difference and variation range of materials.
- First batching & mixing
The first ingredient is mainly the preparation of raw materials. This process is mainly completed by electronic batching scale.
- Second grinding & batching & mixing
Due to low food intake, short digestive tract and poor digestion ability of aquatic animals, the particle size of aquafeed grinding is required to increase the surface area of feed. The material fineness of the second blending bin is above 60 mesh, and the density is small. There is a adding machine above the mixer, which is mainly used for the addition of additives.
- Extruding & pelleting
In the extrusion process, the material actually passes through a cooking process under high temperature, high humidity and high pressure. This leads to the formation of so-called extruded feed average moisture in (25-30%). Pellets enter the dryer and water drops to 13%.
The cooled material is lifted by the hoist and then screened. Then weigh and pack.
The above production process is the general configuration of extruded aquafeed processing at present, especially in the application of aquatic animals, fish and pets food.
